Ghulam Haider Wyne Urdu: غلام حیدر وائیں was born 1933 in Amritsar Indian Punjab is a well-known Politician of Pakistan. His family migrated from India to Pakistan in 1947 after Pakistan, India Partition. He was the Leader of the Opposition (Pakistan) and former chief minister of Pakistan's most populous province Punjab. He held chief minister's position from 1990 to 1993, when President Ghulam Ishaq Khan dissolved the Constituent Assembly and removed his government in 1993 from Punjab along with Nawaz Sharif's governments in Pakistan. He was brutally murdered near Mian Channu while doing the rounds of his election campaign.
Ghulam Haider Wyne (Late) had a clean and spotless record who had risen from an ordinary political worker to the opposition leader in the National Assembly and later the Chief Minister. He regretted that the nation had not followed the principles of the Quaid-i-Azam and the objectives for which he had established Pakistan could not be achieved. He was a gospel and down to earth politician who had devoted his life for the welfare of the nation. he led a simple and honourable life in a dilapidated house in the ghettos of Mian Channu. He never plundered national wealth like other politicians. Once he presented few copies of daily Nawa-i-Waqt which were kept in an old iron box and said he had carried these copies from Amritsar while migrating to Pakistan. he visited England for the collection of donation for schools but never built his own house and her wife is still living in her sister's home.
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust
Ghulam Haider Wyne (Late) Founder and very first Chairman of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) he established Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in July 1992. He provided over 40 kanal land to the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust near Johar Town Lahore. He set up over 18 educational institutions in a small city Mian Channu which could be given the status of a university That's why He still remembered as Sir Syed Ahmad Khan of Mian Channu after his death.

The NATION report on 30th of Sept. 1993 provided facts that the whole area is a stronghold of Malooks who have criminal cases against them. Another news report of 30th of September 1993 tells us that former PM and President PMLN Mian Nawaz Sharif was seen in great grief on hearing about the barbrousl murder of his companion. He was addressing a public meeting that he turned into a condolence meeting. He said "No true Pakistani can assassinate a person like Ghulam Haider Wyne". He said the principled Wyne, who had been working for a Nobel cause with a missionary zeal, has laid down his life for Pakistan , PMLN WILL CONTINUE HIS MISSION.
It was also reported that on hearing the news of the incident, Nawaz Sharif become impassionate and started weeping abruptly. He was of the view Wyne's death showed that the true Muslim leaguer is willing to pay the supreme sacrifice for the cause of Pakistan.
